Cursor iOS App
To begin, download the Cursor iOS app and sign in. Computers linked to the account will automatically appear in the app.
Tap a computer in the iOS app, then approve the pairing request in the Cursor desktop app. After pairing, the local agents running on that computer will appear in a list. Tapping an agent allows the user to review what it is working on and send messages.
Remote Control is currently available through the Cursor iOS app. It can also be used without cloud agents.
Keep This Computer Awake
Because local agents remain on the computer, that computer must stay powered on and online for Remote Control to work.
To prevent the computer from sleeping while the user is away, enable “Keep this computer awake” under Remote Control in the Cursor desktop app’s settings. The computer must also remain connected to power with its lid open.
These requirements allow the iOS app to maintain its connection to the local agents running on the computer.
Enterprise Organizations
Remote Control is enabled by default for all users except those in enterprise organizations.
Enterprise administrators can enable the feature through Org settings > Security and identity > Remote Control. Once enabled and paired, users can inspect and message their computer’s local agents from the iOS app, provided the computer remains powered on and online.
